Felicity Echo

Felicity Echo  Character Post 57

Felicity "Flick" Echo is the daughter of an elf father and a courtfolk mother. Flick is classically pretty with long blonde hair. Most of the time, she works as a pastry-cook at the castle, first as apprentice to Master Luc Skipton and later as his assistant. Flick enjoys cooking, and is good friends with the Skipton grand-daughters. Each Christmas, Flick takes on the guise of a Christmas angel fairy and dutifully grants someone's Christmas wish. Mostly she enjoys these ventures, since they involve dancing with handsome young men or spending the evening with young women in need of a friend. One Christmas, on her way to visit her cousin Niall and his lady Frances, she impulsively grants a Christmas wish for a little boy named George. It seems so harmless, to facilitate a gift "tied up in tinsel" for a nice child. Things get complicated when Flick finds out exactly whose gift she's going to be.
Flick is a friendly, well-meaning young woman who takes life as it comes. Her Christmas adventures are just part of the routine, though occasionally she's embarrassed to discover she's had a magical makeover and looks like a storybook Christmas angel, complete with white robe and the classic behold pose. When not at work or socialising, Flick lives in a cottage near the castle, with a stocky pony named Ginger for company.

Flick appears in Tied up in Tinsel, and a short story called George and the Pony. She is mentioned in Sam and the Sylvan .

ABOUT THE BLOG

Sally is Sally Odgers; author, anthologist and reader. She runs  Prints Charming Books. (Sally is me, by the way, and I am lots of other things too, but these are the relevant ones for now.)

The goal for 2017 was to write a post a day profiling the background behind one of my books; how it came to be written, what it's about, and any things of note that happened along the way. If you're an author, an aspiring author, a reader or just someone who enjoys windows into worlds, you might find this fun. The books are not in any special order, but will be assigned approximate dates, and pictures, where they exist. 2017 is now behind us, but I ran out of year before running out of books. As of February 18th 2018 I STILL haven't run out of books, but many of those still to come are MIA by which I mean I don't have copies and remember little about them. There are more new books to come, and I'll certainly showcase those, but in between times, I'm profiling some of my characters, just for a change. Thank you so much to everyone who's come along on this journey so far!
