Dr Harry Fejoa

Dr Harry Fejoa  Character Post 36

Dr Harry Fejoa is an enigma to his colleagues. He looks like a man in his thirties, but he bears a startling resemblance to someone Cornelia Conti remembers as Tank Man. But that was  decades ago. He is personable, friendly and charming; an expert in exotic diseases and a counsellor. He is enthusiastic, and highly intelligent, and he has the common touch.
That's the side of Harry Fejoa that he shows to the world. The other side is much less known. It's not that Harry keeps it a secret. If you ask him, he'll answer honestly, and possibly in more detail than you might want to know. The thing is that most people would never think to ask. Most people don't know him anyway. He turns up at the occasional conference, writes papers, and is the titular head of the Rachel Foundation, but you're not going to meet him in the supermarket, or invite him to a dinner party. He's simply unavailable, often for months, if not for years, at a time.
Under the facade, Harry Fejoa is a man with a single obsession; to resume his interrupted life with his fiancee, Rachel, who has been in a coma for years. Nothing; not friends, enemies or time itself is going to prevent him from reuniting with the woman he still loves.
Harry is fully aware that he's not normal. He doesn't even want to be.

Harry Fejoa is a character in the Elydian Dawn series.

ABOUT THE BLOG

Sally is Sally Odgers; author, anthologist and reader. She runs  Prints Charming Books. (Sally is me, by the way, and I am lots of other things too, but these are the relevant ones for now.)

The goal for 2017 was to write a post a day profiling the background behind one of my books; how it came to be written, what it's about, and any things of note that happened along the way. If you're an author, an aspiring author, a reader or just someone who enjoys windows into worlds, you might find this fun. The books are not in any special order, but will be assigned approximate dates, and pictures, where they exist. 2017 is now behind us, but I ran out of year before running out of books. As of February 18th 2018 I STILL haven't run out of books, but many of those still to come are MIA by which I mean I don't have copies and remember little about them. There are more new books to come, and I'll certainly showcase those, but in between times, I'm profiling some of my characters, just for a change. Thank you so much to everyone who's come along on this journey so far!
