 Plots and Plotting is a companion to Ideas to Go and three others on the basics of writing. I love plotting, and have worked out several different ways of going about it. These include the roadmap method, situation plotting, building the forest, silver shoes, connections and logical plotting. Some writers are plotters, some are pantsers and some are a bit of both. In my opinion, pantsers, if successful, are still using plotting, but they're doing it subconsciously. Plots and Plotting was originally a workshop, then because a book, and is now expanded and updated and forming a (long) chapter in my doorstop of a how-to, Everything...  The cover here is of the 2007 edition.

The goal for 2017 was to write a post a day profiling the background behind one of my books; how it came to be written, what it's about, and any things of note that happened along the way. If you're an author, an aspiring author, a reader or just someone who enjoys windows into worlds, you might find this fun. The books are not in any special order, but will be assigned approximate dates, and pictures, where they exist. 2017 is now behind us, but I ran out of year before running out of books, so the blog will continue for at least the next month or so.
