Knight Triumphant

Knight Triumphant  (2004) Post 366

Knight Triumphant is the third book in the Reluctant Knight trilogy and the first post for 2018.
This time, instead of being tossed unwittingly into Braveria, Simon goes there deliberately. To do so, he has to enlist his dad's help to talk to Mr Porter... One again, Simon is the subject of a prophecy and once again he is in discomfort and danger. This time, he finally goes on the hunt for Prince Rifer. He faces new perils at the Frozen Two-Knights, Ruby the dragon wants to feed him to her nestlings, and Becca is acting oddly, even for her. The enemy is a peculiarly horrid one... Nix, who can turn any weapon back on the one who wields it. Simon overcomes him in a particularly Simonish fashion, and finally resolves many of the questions and problems from the other books. The story ends back in our world, where he's now getting on a little better with Reba, and where he knows his adventures in Braveria haven't ended...

ABOUT THE BLOG

Sally is Sally Odgers; author, manuscript assessor, editor, anthologist and reader. She runs http://www.affordablemanuscriptassessments.com and Prints Charming Books. (Sally is me, by the way, and I am lots of other things too, but these are the relevant ones for now.)

The goal for 2017 was to write a post a day profiling the background behind one of my books; how it came to be written, what it's about, and any things of note that happened along the way. If you're an author, an aspiring author, a reader or just someone who enjoys windows into worlds, you might find this fun. The books are not in any special order, but will be assigned approximate dates, and pictures, where they exist. 2017 is now behind us, but I ran out of year before running out of books, so the blog will continue for at least the next month or so.
