Floribunda "Flori" Rose Alexandris has life more or less the way she wants it. She is comfortable in her plus-sized skin and enjoys running her florist business BB-Blossoms. Flori specialises in colourful flowers with exuberant perfumes, and sources a lot of her stock from amateur growers. She has an assistant who works in busy periods, but other than that she's self-sufficient and contented. Sometimes she remembers her best friend from childhood, a free-spirited child named Tally Beach, but although she'd like to catch up, she's has no luck tracing Tally. Even if she did, what are the odds that they'd have anything in common now? Flori traces her love of dance to Tally's influence, but as her much-older brother lives overseas she has no one close to her now. When a forty-something bride-to-be bounces into BB-Blossoms and impulsively invites Flori to do her flowers and to make up numbers in her bridal party, Flori is nonplussed. She agrees, in part because Pen Swan's fiance is in private enquiries, and might be able to help trace Tally. It's only when she's at the wedding that Flori really notices how very oddly everyone is behaving... especially the two best men, who are so large they make her feel positively petite... Flori is a sensible woman, and she makes sensible decisions, even when they might seem mad to anyone else. Flori appears in Floribunda and the Best Men.

Sally is Sally Odgers; author, anthologist and reader. She runs Prints Charming Books. (Sally is me, by the way, and I am lots of other things too, but these are the relevant ones for now.)
The goal for 2017 was to write a post a day profiling the background behind one of my books; how it came to be written, what it's about, and any things of note that happened along the way. If you're an author, an aspiring author, a reader or just someone who enjoys windows into worlds, you might find this fun. The books are not in any special order, but will be assigned approximate dates, and pictures, where they exist. 2017 is now behind us, but I ran out of year before running out of books. As of February 18th 2018 I STILL haven't run out of books, but many of those still to come are MIA by which I mean I don't have copies and remember little about them. There are more new books to come, and I'll certainly showcase those, but in between times, I'm profiling some of my characters, just for a change. Thank you so much to everyone who's come along on this journey so far!
